Citizens Advice Mid-North Yorkshire is looking for an enthusiastic adviser to join our Help through Hardship team to help people or households facing hardship to maximise their income. This is a home-based role and the successful candidate will be able to work remotely.

The service includes the provision of advice and information to be able to address the underlying causes of the hardship in the hope this can reduce the need for food bank support. We are looking for an adviser with strong IT skills who can use Citizens Advice resources to find, interpret and communicate relevant information to clients.

You’ll have the ability to interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of the issues and empower clients, enabling them to progress their situation in the most appropriate way.

Assessor or adviser experience within Citizens Advice is essential.

Salary : £22,129 pro rata
Hours:  18 hours a week
Responsible to: Advice Project Manager
