Citizens Advice Mid-North Yorkshire is looking for a motivated adviser or caseworker who wants an exciting and challenging role that will make a real difference to the most vulnerable people within the Scarborough and District community. The successful candidate will join our specialist advice team and deliver high quality advice on a range of topics, offering support and representation. This role will be based in our Scarborough office.

The successful candidate will need to have advice giving experience within Citizens Advice or an equivalent organisation where their skills are transferable. Previous caseworker experience would be beneficial but is not essential as training will be provided.

You will need excellent problem solving skills, a good grasp of IT and strong communication skills. You’ll have an empathetic and patient manner and attention to detail is key. Above all you will want to drive positive change for people within your community.

Salary :                                             £24,432 – £25,927 pro rata

Hours:                                              Between 22.5 and 37 hours a week

Responsible to:                             Advice Service Manager
