Citizens Advice Mid-North Yorkshire is looking for enthusiastic advisers to join our Help through Hardship team to help people or households facing hardship to maximise their income. This role can be based at any of our offices in North Yorkshire or from home.

The service includes the provision of advice and information to be able to address the underlying causes of the hardship in the hope this can reduce the need for food bank support. We are looking for an adviser with strong IT skills who can use Citizens Advice resources to find, interpret and communicate relevant information to clients.

You’ll have the ability to interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of the issues and empower clients, enabling them to progress their situation in the most appropriate way.

Assessor or adviser experience is essential.

Salary: £21,748 pro rata

Hours: Between 15 and 37 hours per week

Responsible to: Advice Project Manager
